There is an on-going expansion of Ngong Road (C60/C61) to a dual carriage way. The project was commissioned by president Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday. This is the first phase of the project which runs from the National Library to the Ring Road Kilimani Junction near Nakumatt Prestige. This is a distance of 2.6 kilometers.
According to Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KURA) -the client- the contract was won by the lowest bidder, World Kaihatsu Kogyo Limited. The project is financed by a grant from the Japanese government.
