Alvaro Negredo will return to Spanish top flight after signing a one-year contract with newly promoted Cadiz.
Negredo, 34, has spent the past two campaigns in United Arab Emirates with Al-Nasr.
He scored 12 goals in all competitions in 2019-20 season before the season was ended due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The former Manchester City, Real Madrid, Sevilla and Valencia forward has joined Cadiz, who finished second in Spain’s second tier.
He has penned a one year contract with an option of another year.
‘’I am happy about this new challenge at an historic club like Cadiz.’’ Negredo told Cadiz website.
‘’I’ve a lot more experience after getting to know a lot of different clubs and cultures.
‘’If I’m in Cadiz, it’s because the coach sees things in me that I can contribute. I’m hoping for a beautiful year for the club, the fans and the dressing room.’’
