I attended the funeral of our beloved Mwalimu  Cleveland Mokaya Kenyansa at Tegea B village in Nakuru County.

 

Mwalimu Cleveland Mokaya Kenyansa had taught in various primary schools before he retired.

 

Cleveland Mokaya Kenyansa was born in 1948. He was son of the late Emmanuel Kenyansa and Kerubo Mokorogotu of Nyagechenche village, Nyamira County.

 

Between 1957 to 1964 Cleveland Mokaya Kenyansa studied at Ikonge Primary School. Later he joined Ambira Secondary School where he sat for KAPE. Between 1977 – 1981 he joined Ambira Teachers Training College.

 

After graduating from college he worked in several schools such as Nyang’eni, Mokwerero, Morinduku and Mkulima primary schools.

In 1975, Cleveland Mokaya Kenyansa married Rose Kwamboka and together they were blessed with 11 children: Jackline, Willis, Rhoda, Peninah, Esther, Sarah, Victoline, Teresa, Dennis, Enock and Kevin.

Cleveland Mokaya Kenyansa was father-in-law to Esau, Jackline, Onserio, Momanyi, the late Otiso, Robert, Lewis and Meble.

 

Mwalimu became sick on December 2023 and was treated at Bloom Hospital and was later discharged. On June 6 2024, he fell ill again and was taken to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital (Russia) where he was treated.

 

However, his health deteriorated and mwalimu Cleveland Mokaya Kenyansa rested on August 23, 2024.
