Let’s look at the most famous emojis in the world. Majority of the people around the world use the “laughing” emoji  in their communications with friends and family. As you read this article you might have used it in your WhatsApp or social media messages or comments. 

The “laugh out loud” face is officially the world’s most popular emoji, according  Adobe research.
 
 
The “thumbs up” emoji is the second most famous emoji. In the third place is the “red heart” ❤️ emoji.
 
 
The flirtatious “wink and kiss” and “sad face with a tear” emojis respectively rounded out the top five in the research titled 2021 Global Emoji Trend Report by Adobe where over 7,000 respondents from around the globe were interviewed.
 
 
 
The report also discussed the three most misunderstood emojis. That is the “eggplant” symbol edged out the “peach” and the “clown” emojis respectively. These are the most confusing emojis among users. 
 
 
Eighty-nine (89) percent of respondents stated that emojis simplify communicating across language barriers.
 
 
Further, 67% of the respondents stated that they think people who use the most famous emojis are funnier, friendlier and cooler than those who don’t.
 
 
A large number of respondents said that they are comfortable expressing their emotions using emojis than making phone calls or face-to-face meeting.
 
 
At least 55% of the respondents said that using emojis in communications has positively impacted on their mental health.
