At least 216,000 minors have been sexually abused by the Catholic Church Clergy over the last 70 years. This is the abuse by the priests, nuns and deacons among other members of the clergy.
The figure even grows to 330,000 when we add those minors abused by the rest of the Catholic community who are not clergy.
CNN concludes that the Catholic Church is the most dangerous environment for minors. This means that they are more likely to be sexually abused when within the environs of a catholic church.
