Mexican Prosecutors are seeking arrest warrants for 31 scientists on charges of organized crime, money laundering and embezzlement.
The University Professors have been accused of violating a law that prevents members of an advisory board from receiving money from a government science fund.
The law was enacted in 2019, scientists got 2.5 million years early when it was legal.
Mexico is targeting journalists and scientists instead of focusing on the drug cartel chiefs.
