Health workers had to down their tools after delayed salaries in Kisii county. They announced their strike on Friday claiming no work will be done without money.
Patients had to get transferred to private hospitals after a long moment of waiting with no attendants. Despite the strike, the County Finance Executive Moses Onderi said that there will be further delay. He said that the National Treasury has not yet disbursed funds as of June 2022.
