Blaise Matuidi has admitted that Juventus have exercised a clause in his contract to keep him at the club for another season.
The French midfielder’s contract with Juventus was to expire at the end of the current campaign.
However, he is now contracted to the club until 2021 after Juve took the option to retain his services.
”In my contract there was an option of another year. Juventus have exercised it. I never had any doubts about it. I feel the trust of everyone.” Matuidi told Le Figaro.
Matuidi, who won the FIFA World Cup with France in 2018, joined Juventus in 2018 after a decorated stint at Paris St Germain.
