Manufacturing is overrated
Many things have changed in the manufacturing field over the years. Currently, it is possible for manufacturing output to increase even in the face of decreasing manufacturing jobs.
The fact that thanks to automation and improved productivity, fewer people are now need to make manufacturing of goods.
Now you know that manufacturing is overrated. The solution may be in Universal Basic Income. That will be covered in another day. For now, Kenya’s president Uhuru Kenyatta is narrowing down on “The Big Four” in order to leave a legacy. One of his plans is to boost manufacturing, it casts doubts on whether that goal will work.
