Matic, whose 3-year contract was to expire on June 30, is also in talks with the club to extend his stay at the club even further.
The 31-year-old’s recent form has encouraged United to extend his stay to 2021 and there is a possibility he could stay beyond that.
Matic joined Manchester United in 2017 from Chelsea in a £40M deal. He has made 109 appearances for the Red Devils.
