Manchester United were awarded their 13th Premier League penalty on Thursday, equalling a PL record of the most penalties earned in a season.
Midfielder Bruno Fernandes won a controversial penalty in the first half when referee John Moss adjudged Ezri Konsa fouled the Portuguese midfielder inside the box as he tried to turn.
The decision stood after a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) review and Fernandes scored from the spot kick.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side won 3-0 at full time.
It was the 13th penalty the Red Devils have been awarded in the Premier League this season, a figure only two clubs have achieved in the English top-flight.
Leicester City were awarded 13 penalties in 2015-16 campaign when they won the title, while Crystal Palace were also awarded the same no of spot-kicks in 2004-05 season.
