Premier League side Manchester City are set to fine defender Kyle Walker after the player breached lockdown instructions amid the Covid – 19 pandemic.
Walker was caught having a sex party with two escorts last Tuesday at his rented Cheshire apartments.
Kyle Walker issued an apology: ‘’I want to take this opportunity to issue a public apology for the choices I made last week. I understand my position as a professional footballer brings the responsibility of being a role model. As such, I want to apologise to my family, friends, football club, supporters and the public for letting them down.’’
Manchester City issued a statement condemning Walker and reports claim that further punishment will be meted on the right back to serve as a warning to the other players who might think of breaking rules.
Recently, Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish flouted government instructions and was fined by the club. The proceeds were donated to a hospital charity in Birmingham.
