Professor Makau Mutua, 64, is a professor of Law at SUNY Buffalo School of Law in the United States of America.
In 2016, Professor Makau Mutua made an unsuccessful attempt to become Kenya’s next chief Justice at the Supreme Court of Kenya.
Professor Makau Mutua attended Kitui School and in 1983 he graduated from University of Dar es Salaam with a Bachelor’s of Law (LLB) and in 1984 he graduated with an LLM. In 1987, Professor Makau Mutua graduated with a S.J.D at Harvard University in the U.S.
Professor Makau Mutua is the chairman of Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC) – a national Non Government Organization (NGO).
