Lyon have signed on-loan striker Karl Toko Ekambi from Villareal on a four-year contract, the Ligue 1 side announced on Tuesday.
The deal was worth $12.86M plus add-ons which includes a sell-on clause of 15% of any future transfer.
The 27-year-old scored 2 goals in 8 Ligue 1 appearances since joining the club on loan in January.
‘’Lyon is pleased to announce that it has taken up the purchase option for Ekambi from Villareal,’’ Lyon confirmed.
Ekambi, who has made 30 appearances for Cameroon, played for French club Angers between 2016 and 2018, winning the Prix Marc-Vivien Foe award for the best African player in the top flight.
