Liberian President George Weah says the country has made enough progress against the coronavirus and airports and hotels will be allowed to reopen in a fortnight.
A state of emergency which is due to end on Tuesday will not be renewed.
345 coronavirus cases have been reported in Liberia, with the virus claiming 30 lives.
However, the levels of testing have been low and the full extent of the disease is uncertain.
Correspondents say although schools have shut and overnight curfew is in place, most people have carried on with their lives as normal during the state of emergency, with markets still busy and shops open.
