Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski has advised Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland to stay in Bundesliga for longer before ‘’taking next step’’ amid continued links with Real Madrid.
Haaland joined Dortmund in January and has scored 12 goals in 11 competitive games. He netted 28 times in the first half of the season with Austrian side Salzburg.
The 19-year-old Norway international has become one of the most sought players in the football world.
Lewandowski has urged Haaland to consider a longer stay in Germany before thinking of any move.
Lewandowski played for Dortmund before moving to Bayern Munich.
‘’He has huge potential, but still has time,’’ Lewandowski told reporters.
‘’I don’t want to put any pressure on him with my statements.
‘’If he works hard, he can become a better player and eventually reach top level. Therefore it might be good for him if he was to stay in the Bundesliga before taking the next step.’’
Both players are set to return to action this weekend as the Bundesliga restarts following two-month hiatus due to coronavirus pandemic.
