Leicester City FC have signed defender Wesley Fofana from French club AS Saint-Etienne.
The 19-year-old Frenchman has signed a five-year deal at King Power Stadium.
Wesley Fofana told Leicester City’s website: “I’m very happy to be here. I’ve watched Leicester City closely since they won the title and they’re a top club in the Premier League.
”I know I will learn a lot from the players and the manager here, which is one of the main reasons I came. I can’t wait to get started.”
Wesley Fofana made his Saint-Etienne debut in May 2019 and went on to make 25 more appearances in all competitions.
He was named in France Under-21s squad for this month’s Euro Qualifiers against Liechtenstein and Slovakia.
Wesley Fofana played 4 times in the Ligue 1 this season and helped Saint-Etienne keep 3 clean sheets and reach fourth place in the table.
