Unione Sportiva Lecce have been relegated from the Serie A with Genoa surviving as the Italian top-flight concluded on Sunday.
The focus of the final day was the relegation battle between Genoa and Lecce, who placed 17th and 18th respectively with only one point separating the two teams.
Genoa thrashed Verona 3-0 to finish four points ahead of Lecce to ensure a 14th consecutive season in the Serie A.
Unione Sportiva Lecce lost 4-3 to Parma at home which saw their survival hopes dashed.
Unione Sportiva Lecce now return to the Serie B, joining Brescia and SPAL.
Juventus won their ninth Serie A title in a row in a season affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
