Paris St Germain strikers Kylian Mbappe and Edison Cavani were injured in a French Ligue one match against Toulouse on Sunday. Paris St Germain won the game 4-0 at the Parc des Princes.
Kylian Mbappe had a hamstring problem and Edison Cavani injured his hip. The duo could be out for up to four weeks to recover.
Neymar Jr is suspended for Paris St Germain’s opening 3 fixtures after being linked with a return to his former club FC Barcelona. It remains unclear whether he’ll return to the Laliga club before the transfer window closes on 2nd September. This leaves Angel Di Maria, Eric Maxim Chuopo Moting and Julian Draxler to lead the clubs attack.
Edison Cavani will miss Uruguay’s international friendly matches against Costa Rica and United States. Kylian Mbappe will also miss France Euro 2020 qualifier matches against Albania and Andorra.
