Kyle Walker-Peters has moved to St Mary’s for the rest of 2019-2020 campaign following lack of playing time at Tottenham Hotspurs.
The defender has only managed to make 5 appearances in all competitions under both Mauricio Pochettinho and Jose Mourinho this season.
The 22 year old is looking forward to work with Saints boss Ralph Hassenhuttl as he seeks for more playing time for the remaining part of the season.
‘’I’m just grateful for the opportunity I have been given by the manager and the club,’’ Said Walker-Peters.
‘’I come here looking to help the club improve and improve myself. I just want to win as many games as possible and enjoy playing football. I had a chat with the or manager and he assured me I was the type of player he liked and I got that feeling from watching Southampton that I could fit in well. ‘’ He added.
Walker-Peters arrival could clear way for the departure of defender Cedric Soares, who has been linked with a loan move to Arsenal.
