Krzysztof Piatek has left AC Milan for Hertha Berlin, just a year after joining the Rossoneri.
The Poland striker joined AC Milan in January 2019 after spending 6 months with Genoa where he scored 19 goals in 21 games.
He continued his fine form at Milan initially leading to comparisons with compatriot Robert Lewandowski.
He has been unable to reach the same heights this season scoring only 5 goals this season and has further fallen the pecking order following the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
‘’I am very happy that this transfer worked out. I feel great desire to help the club together with my new team-mates and to climb up a few places in the table as quickly as possible.’’ Said Piatek.
English Premier League clubs Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspurs had been linked with Piatek following injuries to Marcus Rashford and Harry Kane respectively.
