Kenyan Health officials are giving communities safer options to replace traditions that require physical contact to reduce the spread of Coronavirus.

Instead of the traditional handshake between goat-traders in the Northern part of Kenya to show completion of a deal, health officials are showing them how to use the herders’ sticks.

The other tradition affected by the coronavirus is elaborate burials. The government wants coronavirus victims buried within 24 hours while those who die from other causes be buried by close family members not exceeding 15.
