According to education sector working group reports, Kenya needs Ksh 637 billion to implement projects in the country’s education sector. A total of Ksh. 579.6 billion will be spent as recurrent while Ksh. 57.3 billion is resources required for development projects in the sector in FY 2020/2021.
Since resources are always scarce and there are competing wants, education system is Kenya is likely to be allocated a total of Ksh. 505 billion only for both development and recurrent expenditure.
