The ordinary Kenyans are currently struggling from high rates of unemployment, inflation and high standards of living.
In fact today we were discussing with my course-mates on Masters of Public Policy and Administration (MPPA) that Nairobi City is one of the most expensive cities in Sub Saharan Africa (SSA). We even projected that it is because of the hardships that we are facing, Kenyans especially form Nairobi are able to thrive in other global capitals.
However, we aren’t arguing that the status quo remain. We want change. Better still economic transformation. What we are clearly missing are the agents of change. Our ruling class are the beneficiaries of this deteriorating economy. They are getting their fair share of the spoils of capitalism while millions of Kenyan citizens are living in abject poverty. This is unacceptable.
Sustainable Development
On Sustainable Development, we feel that the state is not doing enough. We are informed that we even have a Sustainable Development Policy. However, just like many other policy documents, it is only on paper. There is no proper implementation.
Going forward we need doers and not lazy bureaucrats. That is one of the ways through which we can push for economic, social and cultural transformation in our motherland.

I call upon all Kenyans to raise their voices and say “enough is enough” and take a step further by electing the right people into all positions and then hold into account those public administrators.
That way, we will see the light at the end of the tunnel.
