Legendary rapper and fashion designer, Kanye West, has purchased a new house just across the street from the home of his estranged wife Kim Kardashian in the midst of the ongoing divorce proceedings.
Kanye West made available 1,000 free meals during a Thanksgiving ceremony in Los Angeles last month. During the event he stated that he planned to “get his family back together” and grow a relationship with his former wife Kim Kardashian.
He also said that if he couldn’t live in the family house with his wife and children, he would buy “the home right next door” to Kim.
He purchased the new home despite having another $57.3 million Malibu home which is 30-minutes drive from Kardashian’s Hidden Hill Estate. Kim still wants a divorce from Kanye West. However, the latter wishes to remain in the marriage. That led him to spend $4.5 million on home at Hidden Hills Estate.
Kim and Kanye West’s home was featured by the Architectural Digest in 2020. In October, Kim paid West some $23 million to buy out his 50 percent share in the estate.
Kanye’s new home was constructed in 1995 with four bedrooms in 3,600 square feet. The home also has a guest studio with another bedroom equipped with a full bedroom attached to the garage. It is best for use by the staff.
The estate is used for breeding horses and spans over an acre of land, and it also has horse stables as well as some dated interiors and wall-to-wall carpeting. Kanye West was desperate to have the property which pushed him to pay an extra $421,000 over the price asked by the seller in order to acquire it.
