Italy Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte has revealed that all serie A week 26 matches could be postponed including mouth-watering clash between Juventus and Inter due to the Coronavirus outbreak in Italy.
The outbreak of the Coronavirus in Italy led to the postponement of various topflight matches on Saturday and Sunday.
The move is a preventative measure after two people died and several others tested positive for the deadly virus.
The upcoming fixtures across the Italian Leagues are in doubt, with Serie A leaders Juve slated to play Inter at home on March 1st.
‘’I don’t think that in Just one week we’d be able to slow down the contagion so much that we could resume sporting events. We are constantly monitoring the situation and will evaluate. We’ll see the evolution of the contagion and evaluate postponing all next week matches.’’ Conte told Rai.
Juventus are one point clear on top of the Serie A table following their 2-1 win over SPAL on Saturday. Inter are placed second with a game at hand to play.
