Joseph Okumu unveiled at IF Elfsborg
Harambee Stars defender Joseph Okumu has joined Swedish Club IF Elfsborg. IF Elfsborg is one of the oldest football clubs in Sweden. He has left American club Real Mornachs.
Joseph Okumu was one of the players who impressed during the African Cup of nations with the national team.
He started his career at Chemelil Sugar FC in 2014 joining straight from Kakamega high school. He moved to South Africa and played for Free State Stars in 2016. He then moved to USA to join AFC Ann Arbor in 2018. He put up eye catching perfomances and was snapped by Real Mornachs; the reserve team of Real Salt Lake which plays in the Major League Soccer.
IF Elfsborg is currently on the eighth place of the Allsvenskan standings with 27 points out of 21 games already played. IF Elfsborg will host Sirius in their next league match on Saturday 31st August. Joseph Okumu could play in that game.
