Former Manchester City midfielder Jack Rodwell is set to join AS Roma on a permanent deal. The 28 year old has been without a club after he left Championship club Blackburn Rovers last summer.
Jack Rodwell joined Manchester City in 2012 for £15M from Merseyside club Everton FC. He won the Premier League title with Manchester City in the 2013/2014 Premier League Campaign.
In August 2014, Jack Rodwell joined Sunderland FC for £10M. Sunderland FC were relegated to League One from the Championship in June 2018 and Rodwell’s contract with the club was terminated. He then joined Blakburn Rovers and left the Championship club in the summer.
Jack Rodwell has played 3 times for the England national team.
Rodwell has been in negotiations with Serie A club AS Roma and a deal is yet to be agreed.
