A daredevil social media influencer has died after falling off a waterfall while trying to take a selfie.
Sofia Cheung, 32, fell 16 feet to her death into the Tsing Dai stream near Yuen Long, Hong Kong on Saturday, July 10.
She had spent the day with 3 friends at Ha Pak Lai nature park.
Sofia Cheung, whose Instagram page lists hiking, outdoor activities, kayaking, photography and exploring as her hobbies, had climbed up to the top of the waterfall to take the photographs later that day when she missed a step and fell into the water.
Her friends immediately called the emergency services, paramedics took Sofia to a hospital in Hong Kong, but she was sadly pronounced dead on arrival.
Friends have mourned the influencer whose Instagram bio reads: “Life should be fun not dumb.”
