Indian students are opting for professional gaming college to advance their skills. The Covid-19 pandemic has led to increased the popularity of interactive engagement. In fact, gaming is considered to be one of the most adventurous money-making sector.
In 2019, India’s online gaming market was estimated to be $870 million and currently it is valued at over $1 billion. This sector is expected to reach $3.9 billion by 2025.
The number of Indian gamers is expected to rise to approximately 700 million. According to a report by Nielson Indians downloaded mobile games 7.3 billion times during the first quarter of 2020.
Statistics shows that 60% of gamers in India are below 25 years of age. Currently, Indians spend 218 minutes gaming compared to 151 minutes before lockdown.
India is estimated to have 165 game design institutes which are professional gaming colleges out of which 25 are located in New Delhi. The training colleges belief that anyone can learn about software, animation, UX and UI among others.
Gaming education is based on “learning by doing”. It is believed that when you acquire gaming education, you will have better conceptual knowledge and analytical skills.
