Ilemi Triangle is a disputed piece of land in East Africa. It is estimated to be 14,000 square miles in land area.
The disputed area was named after Ilemi Akwom who was Anuak chief. Kenya and South Sudan have laid claim on the area.
The Ethiopian government has never made an official claim of the area. According to Wikipedia, in 1902, 1907 and 1972 Ethiopia agreed that the land belonged to Sudanese in a series of treaties.
However, Kenya is currently controlling the area. The Ilemi Triangle is the setting of Wakanda film created by Marvel Comics.
