Zlatan Ibrahimovic suffered a potentially major injury in Milan training on Monday.
Ibrahimovic hurt the lower part of his calf in a training match.
The 38-year –old joined AC Milan as a free agent in December, agreeing a deal until the end of June.
He made 8 Serie A appearances scoring 3 goals before the campaign was brought to a halt due to the global coronavirus pandemic.
Reports suggest that scans could suggest a serious problem to his Achilles. He’s likely to miss the remainder of the season.
Ibrahimovic started his career at Malmo and moved on to have stints with Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan and FC Barcelona.
He joined Milan in 2010 and two years later he signed for Paris Saint-Germain. He spent 4 years at the French side before joining Manchester United.
After two seasons with United, Ibrahimovic signed for MLS side LA Galaxy. After a 20-month spell at the American side, Ibrahimovic returned to Milan.
Milan currently sit seventh in the Serie A, which is hoping to resume next month.
