EFL confirmed on Sunday that there were 2 positive cases out of the 1,014 coronavirus tests taken by players and club staff at all the 24 Championship sides.

Hull City did not name the individuals and they’re now expected to self-isolate for the next one week.

Both individuals were asymptomatic.

Hull City issued a statement: ‘’Hull city can confirm that two people have tested positive for COVID-19 following the first round of testing at the training ground.

‘’Medical confidentiality means the names will not be disclosed, and the club asks for this to be respected.

‘’The duo, who were both asymptomatic and feeling no ill effects, will now self-isolate for seven days – in line with the protocols set out in the EFL guidelines – before being tested again at a later date.

‘’The club will continue to liaise closely with the affected personnel and will make no further comment.’’

According to the Telegraph, Hull City have already written a letter to EFL expressing fears over the campaign resuming next month.

It remains unclear when the Championship campaign will resume. The last game was played on 8th March.
