Henrik Larsson has returned to Barcelona to join Ronald Koeman’s coaching staff.
Koeman was appointed Barcelona head coach this week after Quique Setien was sacked following an 8-2 humiliation by Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Larsson won two La Liga titles, a Champions League and a Supercopa de Espana in his two years at Camp Nou as a player.
The former Sweden international scored 22 goals in 62 appearances in all competitions for Barcelona, mostly coming off the bench.
The 48-year-old, who was manager of Helsingborgs IF last year, has signed a two-year contract with Barcelona.
Former Hoffenheim manager Alfred Schreuder has also joined Larsson to work under Koeman and has put to pen a two-year contract.
Schreuder was appointed Hoffenheim manager in March, having previously worked under Julian Nagelsmann, but was fired in June.
