Kenya Sugar production faces a lot of challenges. In Nov 2018, President Kenyatta appointed a Task Force to review sugar industry and make recommendation on addressing sector challenges.
The government will pay all outstanding debts owned by the sugarcane farmers and later implement the recommendations given by the task force.
