Real Madrid forward Eden Hazard has undergone a successful surgery on his ankle in Dallas, United States.
The Belgium forward star sustained a fracture to his right fibula in Real Madrid’s 1-0 loss at Levante.
Hazard was sent for surgery in United States as it was felt that doctors with experience of treating similar injuries sustained by NBA stars would be good to offer a long-term fix.
Real Madrid confirmed on Thursday that Hazard’s surgery was successful, under the supervision of the Club’s doctors.
Hazard has only made 15 appearances since his move from Chelsea in June last year. He is expected to return to Spain in the coming days to continue his recovery.
