According to Mereja.com, the properties owned by Haile Gebreselassie including Haile Resorts in Oromia Region have been lost to violence.
The properties are valued at 290 million birr (approximately KES. 888 million) to the recent riots.
One of these hotels in Shashamane was burnt down completely and the second one in Ziway was destroyed partially.
