Gregory Mwakanongo is the County Executive Committee Member for Finance and Economic Planning in Nairobi City County. He has served in this capacity for the last 3 years starting from July, 2013.
He started his career in 2000 as a Financial Analyst at Cadbury Kenya Limited. He served this company for three years after which he moved on to Nedlloyd East Africa Limited as a Chief Accountant. After this position he served as a Financial Controller at Maersk Kenya Limited.
Later I.Messina Limited came calling. He served the company as a Finance Manager for 2 years and 1 month before moving on to Nestle Kenya where he got a job as a Business Controller. He stayed at this post for 3 years and 3 months. He then served as Chief Finance Officer at AG Group International as his final post before getting his job as a County Executive Committee Member for Finance and Economic Planning at Nairobi City County.
Gregory Mwakanongo holds a Bachelors of Commerce degree from University of Nairobi. After seven years he joined the same University from where he holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree. Gregory Mwakanongo is also a CPA(K) holder.
