More than 8 Million coronavirus cases have been confirmed globally according to data compiled by the John Hopkins University.
The total number of confirmed cases stands at 8,044,839 as of Tuesday, 16 June 1200 EAT.
437,137 people have died worldwide.
More than half of the cases are in Europe and the United States.
The United States is leading with the number of confirmed cases. A total of 2,114,026 cases have been confirmed in the US with the virus claiming 116,127 lives.
