Wearing of mask is now compulsory in Ghana as directed by President Nana Akufo-Addo and the Ghanaian police to enforce the directive.
Nearly 12,000 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Ghana with the virus claiming 54 lives. About 4,000 patients have recovered.
In a televised address, President Akufo-Addo said that the surge in coronavirus cases was because of the enhanced testing and an indication that the deadly virus was still spreading.

Restrictions on religious gatherings have been relaxed in Ghana. However, the country’s borders remain closed.
Schools have also been allowed to reopen for final year students.
Ghana has a population of about 30 million people. So far, a total of 250,000 coronavirus tests have been conducted.
