Key highlights include:
The total budgets for all counties amounted to Ksh 501 billion with Ksh 186 billion allocated to development while Ksh 314 was allocated to recurrent.
Total county government expenditures amounted to Ksh 398 billion with development expenditure amounting to Ksh 116 billion and revenue expenditure at Ksh 281 billion.
Own source revenue by counties in the FY 2020/21 declined from Ksh 35 billion to 34 Billion.
Of the Ksh 346 billion transferred as equitable share, Ksh 26.2 billion was balance not transferred in the FY 2019/20.
The total allocation of funds to county governments was not transferred in full for the FY 2020/21.
