Christian Streich has signed a new contract as head coach of Freiburg.
The 55-year-old extended his deal at the club along with coaches Daniel Wolf, Patrick Baier, Andreas Kronenberg, Florian Bruns and LarsVossler.
The club did not disclose the period of his new contract.
Freiburg board member Jochen Saier posted on the club’s website: ‘’We are absolutely delighted that we will continue to work together with Christian Streich as head coach.’’
‘’Christian lives this club and carries the SC philosophy in his heart.’’
Streich previously coached the Freiburg under-19s and then as assistant to first team boss from 2007 to 2011.
He took over in December 2011 after Dutt’s successor Marcus Sorg was dismissed and, although they were relegated in 2015, Freiburg earned a promotion back to the Bundesliga a year later.
Freiburg are preparing to move into a new 34,700 capacity-stadium in time for next season.
Freiburg sit at position 8 in the Bundesliga table and are hunting for a place in the European competitions. They will play Wolfsburg on Saturday.
