On Saturday, France extended the emergency brought about by Covid-19 outbreak to 24 July.
This extension was made by Olivier Veran, the Minister for Health.
The health emergency began on 24th March and the government has decided against lifting it citing dangers associated with Covid-19.
France is one of the countries in Europe most impacted by Covid-19. At least 24,519 deaths have been reported while 167,346 people have tested +ve for Covid-19.
Despite the extension, some of the measures will be lifted such as reopening of primary schools.
