The former Prime Minister of India Dr Manmohan Singh served between 2004 and 2014.

 

Prior to that Dr Manmohan Singh served in various senior positions such as Minister for Finance, Commerce and Central Bank of India as well as the Reserve Bank.

 

In 1991, the former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh opened up the Indian economy through liberalization.

 

He is remembered as the architect of India’s economic liberalization.

After studying at Oxford and Cambridge in the United Kingdom, Dr Manmohan Singh returned to India where he served as an economic scholar and later in government.

 

Dr Manmohan Singh was also part of the United Nations.

 

In India, Dr Manmohan Singh worked hard to strengthen India’s economy by devaluing its currency and he never feared answering his critics. He did that through numerous media interviews and press coverage.
