The barren goal scoring streak ended on Saturday in the Euro 2020 Group I Qualifying clash with Kazakhstan at Serravalle.
San Marino’s consolation goal came from Filippo Berardi in the 76th minute. The 22 year old rounded Kazakhstan goalkeeper Dmytro Nepogodov after latching onto a through ball and slotted the ball into the empty net. San Marino were 3-0 down at the time of the goal.
Filippo Berdardi plays for Italian Club Vibonese that plays in the Italian Serie C.
San Marino are bottom of Group I without a point with a goal difference of -45.
San Marino has lost 35 competitive games in a row since a barren draw with Estonia in Euro Qualifiers in 2014.
