Under the new temporary regulations issued by FIFA, Football associations can now open their transfer windows before the season in completed.
FIFA also confirmed that players can be registered and play for up to three clubs, rather than the usual two, during the same campaign.
The World’s football governing body will allow football associations to open their transfer periods immediately if they wish.
However, Premier League CEO Richard Masters said PL clubs will be allowed to sign players after July25, when the season is completed. The Premier League is set to resume on June 17.
The French Football Federation (FFF) opened their domestic window on Monday, with their season having ended prematurely after the French government banned all sporting activities in the country until at least September. The Federation is said to be considering an August to October window for international transfers.
The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) will open their transfer window as from September 1 to October 5. The Serie A season will resume on 20th June.
