The family of a teenage girl who injected her boyfriend’s HIV-positive blood into her own body to prove her love for him. The family has sued the boyfriend.
Last week, the story of a girl from Assam in India went viral because of the decision the girl made in the name of proving her love for boyfriend.
The boy and girl met on Facebook and had been in a relationship for three and years before the injection happened according to Kalinga TV.
The couple had tried to elope in the past on numerous occasions but these attempts were foiled by the girl’s parents. Each time the parents tracked them down and returned their daughter.
The police have now arrested the boyfriend while the girl is being treated by the doctors.
According to reports, the girl knew the kind of risks she was taking when she injected herself with infected blood.
It is alleged that the girl’s family have taken their daughter’s boyfriend to court after discovering the injection.
