The following is what the Office of the Auditor General (OAG) said about how money was spent on training of Kisii County budget committee:
“Included in the use of goods and services balance of Ksh. 2,206,961,106 is Ksh. 65,558,814 in respect of training expenses which in turn includes Ksh. 2,290,000 paid to a local firm in form of imprest for the facilitation of training for Kisii budget committee in Nairobi. However, the training was not properly supported.
Consequently, the propriety and validity of the expenditure of Ksh. 2,290,000 incurred on the training cannot be confirmed,” reported the Office of the Auditor General.
I love reading various reports about our government and it conducts its affairs. The above video on Kisii County budget committee exposes how the OAG exposes the alleged misappropriation of public resources.
