On 27 June, 2019 I learnt through experience that every own has a right to believe in certain ideals.
We were discussing about strategies that the national government can use to deal with corruption once for all!
We ventilated on how the state agencies responsible for fighting corruption are playing gimmicks with the war instead of arresting, jailing and repossessing stolen public property.
Our conversation was progressing well until a middle aged man stood and said that he had a dissenting opinion.
“I believe that corruption should be allowed to thrive in Kenya,” He said.
This statement caught everyone’s attention. Who can day say that he support corruption.
He continued by saying that if the state taxes. Corrupt people, they will make a lot of. Revenues to finance national budget.

Secondly, he stated that, 10% of the stolen funds should be. Used to construct projects and those projects should be named after the corrupt people. For instance, “Wanjiku Hospital Foundation” named after one corrupt Wanjiku.
I responded by saying that everyone has a right to have different opinions but since Kenya is a democracy where the majority wins, I knew we are safe considering that most people believe that corruption is evil!!
