Everton have completed the signing of left-back Niels Nkounkou from Marseille on a free transfer.
The France Under-19 was attracting interest from Serie A side Juventus.
Niels Nkounkou has agreed a three-year deal with the Merseyside club following the expiration of his contract at Marseille.
Niels Nkounkou, 19, made 14 appearances for Marseille’s B team in the National 2 in 2018-19. He was also named on the bench for the first-team twice.
Niels Nkounkou has been reported to be a Juventus target but has now moved to Goodison Park.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side have Lucas Digne and Leighton Baines as options in the left-back position.
Baines, 35, is yet to agree a contract extension. His deal is set to expire at the end of the season.
Niels Nkounkou will first bolster David Unsworths’s under-23 side before playing for the Everton first-team.
